About this event
The MFA at EWU and poet Jonathan Johnson present a reading in celebration of the teaching and literary legacy of the late poet Nance Van Winckel followed by drinks at the Peacock Lounge in the old Davenport Hotel downtown. Nance's former students will read poems of hers they admire and from which they learned, and poems of their own influenced by Nance's teaching, writing, and principles. And we will all visit, catch up, and swap stories of Nance's brilliant writing, teaching, and mentoring.
