- ➤ The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture unveiled a donated sculpture as a permanent addition to its collection Wednesday morning – the museum called the piece a landmark gift now on display for the public. KHQ
- ➤ Magenta Wave (a Seattle rock band with deep local ties) will release its new EP The Well next Friday and perform at the Chameleon on Friday, marking their third appearance in Spokane. Guitarist Taylor Mastin said the project explores raw emotion with a wall of sound. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ WDFW is investigating a potential chronic wasting disease case in a mule deer in Ferry County after a private test showed a positive result. Follow-up tests were inconclusive & officials stress the need for proper sample submissions for accurate disease tracking. KHQ
- ➤ Snow squalls dropped up to 8 inches of snow in parts of Eastern Washington last night and a Winter Storm Warning was in effect until 11 p.m. on Wednesday (road conditions turned hazardous). KXLY
- ➤ Washington state officials acknowledged Tuesday that a data entry error greatly overstated greenhouse gas reductions for eight state-funded rebate projects. Updated figures now show only 78,000 tons instead of 7.5 million, and a corrected report will be released after further review. The Spokesman-Review
