- ➤ The North County Food Pantry in Elk operates from a 1982 mobile home and serves meals and groceries to 40-60 families daily. Volunteers and local donors help keep the pantry a warm meeting spot where residents share food and conversation (open Mondays and Wednesdays). The Spokesman-Review
