- ➤ Bethany Presbyterian Church on South Ray Street will start a project in June to build 22 affordable housing units alongside its new sanctuary, with 11 units set aside for families supported by local organizations (Thrive International and Family Promise). Construction is expected to finish by fall 2027. KXLY
- ➤ Downtown Spokane sees artificial snow fall twice daily as part of DSP’s Après Holiday Snow Show that runs until Feb. 15. The flurries appear from noon to 12:15 p.m. and 5 to 5:15 p.m. as local businesses offer deal specials and a sweepstakes to boost foot traffic. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Spokane Public Schools introduced cleaning robots to help meet cleaning needs amid staffing shortages. The $1.08 million fleet, trialed at Rogers High and now operating in middle and high schools, will roll through floors three times a week — easing custodians' tasks — while staff supervise the machines.
