- ➤ Providence Medical Group announced on Thursday that it lifted visitor restrictions at hospitals in Spokane and Stevens counties; from Feb. 5, visitors over 12 were allowed in most departments except the NICU at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center (Children's Hospital). KHQ
- ➤ Providence has announced a new cardiac rehab program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah that brings specialized heart care closer to Stevens County residents — services are available upon referral and include exercise, education and lifestyle guidance during American Heart Month. KHQ
- ➤ Local healthcare experts say new immigration changes could reduce the number of caregivers available for seniors, leaving the aging population at risk. Officials plan to work with community leaders to address the looming worker shortage. KXLY
- ➤ The Grant County Health District said a person in their 50s died from the flu, marking the 74th death in the state as emergency room visits hit 6%, which is four times the usual rate. The department urges residents to get flu shots and stay home if sick. KXLY
