- ➤ State transportation officials warn that if Spokane does not finish needed road fixes, they may close the link from Thorpe Road to U.S. 195 — a move that could disrupt traffic for the upcoming 1,000-home Victory Heights project. City leaders say the developer will help pay for repairs as work proceeds in stages through 2035, and they will discuss the issues at a hearing on Wednesday. The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ Gonzaga men's basketball is seeded eighth in the NCAA tournament despite a high NET ranking and will travel to Wichita on Thursday to face No+9 seeded Georgia. - ➤ Spokane is set to host a major basketball event as the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena will hold two regionals of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament from March 28—31, where eight teams compete to reach the Final Four in Tampa. Top-seeded teams such as USC and Connecticut headline the Spokane 4 Regional as fans fill nearly sold-out seats for the Sweet Sixteen games. The Spokesman-Review
- ➤ Fresh snow covered the region’s ski resorts and may extend the ski season — Mount Spokane and Schweitzer got nine inches in the last 24 hours while Silver Mountain recorded a foot of powder.
