- ➤ This fall, state aid for students at private universities will drop from about $9,700 to around $6,500 after a bill to prevent the cut failed to secure a House vote, and supporters plan to reintroduce the legislation in a future session. The Spokesman-Review
- ➤ TDS Telecom honored fifth-grade teacher Leslie Geldien from Opportunity Elementary School with its Spokane Most Valuable Educator Award on Thursday, March 19.
