- ➤ On Apr. 2, a Spokane mother pulled her 3-year-old from South Hill Kindercare when the child left the playground and ran into a busy street — after the incident, the center installed alarms on playground gates, retrained staff on safety, and the state reported seven active investigations involving the location. - ➤ East Valley School District is hosting a trades night to boost voter turnout and is asking for a bond to renovate schools, its first bond proposal in 30 years + officials will share more details soon. KHQ
