- ➤ The Spokane Police Department is asking residents to help locate Pamela, a 65-year-old indigenous woman with dementia and depression who was last seen on April 5 near 2700 North Crestline between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and who may have taken a bus. City of Spokane

- ➤ A student at Odyssey at Libby Center in Spokane was named a semifinalist in NASA’s Power to Explore Challenge after writing an essay titled 'Ambition: The Rover on Callisto' that explained how Radioisotope Power Systems could power a rover to explore one of Jupiter’s moons. She is one of 45 semifinalists — including four from Washington — and finalists will be announced April 23. KXLY
- ➤ The government revoked the visas of two Gonzaga University students without warning the school (no prior notice was given), Gonzaga President Thayne McCulloh said in a letter. This move comes as part of a broader crackdown on foreign students who join protests (the university is now helping the affected students). The Spokesman-Review

- ➤ The City of Spokane announced on Monday, April 7th that businesses like Darigold, Jubilant HollisterStier, Selkirk Pharma, Fairchild Air Force Base, and Goodrich Corporation met 100% of their industrial wastewater discharge permit requirements for 2024—this compliance protects the sewer system and keeps the Spokane River safe from harmful pollutants. - ➤ Spokane Riverkeepers filed a lawsuit against Purina Mills alleging that the company failed to monitor and prevent industrial pollution from contaminating the Spokane River. The lawsuit seeks to enforce environmental rules and hold the company responsible—an action aimed at protecting our waterways. KHQ

- ➤ Starting April 9 at 7 a.m., the Washington State Department of Transportation will launch a new e-bike rebate program—applications open online. Eligible residents will receive either a $300 or $1,200 rebate from a fund of over $4 million—about 10,000 rebates are planned. KXLY
