- ➤ Friends of the Library will hold its annual book sale at Shadle Park Library on April 25 and 26 — members will have early access on April 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Gently used books will be sold for as little as $1 with bag and box deals available, and all funds will support library programs. - ➤ The Dwight Merkel Sports Complex is set to receive its first AED from Project 100 on Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. — a move designed to boost safety during tournaments and rec play — and city officials say the unit, housed in a SaveStation cabinet with a built-in alarm, camera, and 24/7 monitoring, will be ready for use at all times. - ➤ Washington Attorney General Nick Brown said in his Monday letter to the House Judiciary Committee that allegations of state interference with federal immigration enforcement are plainly wrong.
