- ➤ Earlier this month, Spokane Fire Captain Kevin Smith was on a family vacation in Mexico when he saw a child in trouble in rough surf and jumped in to rescue the boy, who was 6 or 7 years old and not breathing. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Keith Williams was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for leading deputies on a car chase with his two-year-old son after he allegedly pulled a gun on his ex-girlfriend and her husband during an October 2022 incident—he will serve three years of probation upon his release. KHQ
- ➤ Spokane Valley police charged 36-year-old Cody J. Jensen with arson after he threatened his roommates and ignited his home using Molotov cocktails at 7312 E.
