  • Gonzaga Prep’s Bullpups won Friday’s 4A semifinal against Eastern Washington rival Richland and are one win away from becoming the first Greater Spokane League team to secure a WIAA-sanctioned title. They face second-seed Sumner today in the championship game.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Rosemary Longisa of Washington State won the 1,500-meter quarterfinal race at the University of Arkansas on Saturday and will run in the NCAA Championships in Eugene starting June 10 — she finished in 4:07.38 ahead of three Oregon runners.  The Spokesman-Review
  • Spokane Velocity lost 2-1 on Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium to Portland Hearts of Pine in their USL League One match. The four-game unbeaten streak ended after a decisive goal in the 80th minute.  The Spokesman-Review
