- ➤ Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to an antique open cockpit biplane crash near Skymeadow Lane and 44th Avenue—witnesses said the plane lost power during takeoff from Skymeadow Airpark—and both passengers managed to exit safely with one receiving minor injuries while the FAA and Spokane County Fire District 8 investigate the scene. - ➤ A small antique biplane crashed while trying to take off from Sky Meadows Airpark in Spokane Valley on June 15—two onboard escaped and one was hospitalized with minor injuries, with the FAA responding to the scene as no cause has been determined. KXLY
