- ➤ Spokane Police Department will now release video summaries of police shootings under investigation—using legally permitted 911 calls and body-cam footage to show key details. The first summary comes from a January domestic violence case in which a suspect was shot after being medically cleared and the investigation was sent to the county prosecutor's office. KXLY
- ➤ Spokane County Parks, Recreation and Golf has enforced immediate burn restrictions in unincorporated parks to reduce wildfire risks from dry, breezy weather—prohibiting outdoor burning and use of charcoal briquettes.
