- ➤ Today at Spokane International Airport, two World War II bombers—the Maid in the Shade and the Sentimental Journey—offer rides with ticket prices from $375 to $850 while funds raised go toward repairing these historic aircraft. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Spokane Transit Authority approved a pilot program to lower bus fares for low-income riders — those in Spokane Housing Authority programs will pay $1 instead of $2 starting this fall, with SNAP participants included next spring. KXLY
- ➤ Three road projects will begin next week as the City of Spokane starts grind & overlay work downtown and along east Sprague Ave. The Sprague & Alki-Broadway work begins Monday, July 28 and will last through November, the Maple-Walnut project runs from Monday, July 28 to October, and Division Street repairs will occur from Tuesday, July 29 to Aug. 6 with detours and slower traffic expected.
