- ➤ Fire crews improved containment of the Lake Spokane Fire that burned about 2,500 acres near Tumtum on Sunday afternoon—containment grew from 38% to 52% as crews mopped up hazards and removed brush fuels from the perimeter while evacuation levels were reduced. KXLY
- ➤ Firefighters reached 75% containment of the nearly 8,000 acre Hope fire in Stevens County as of Sunday — over 400 crews worked on mopping up fire lines in rugged terrain while evacuation orders and road closures on Lael Road, Crown Creek Road, and Northport Flat Creek Road remain in effect.
