- ➤ Caleb R. McKee—49—was sentenced by Spokane County Superior Court to at least 23 years to life in prison for repeatedly raping and molesting a girl over a 10-year period starting when she was 6. The Spokesman-Review

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Providence Inland Northwest is set to lay off 60 people as it closes multiple outpatient clinics in Spokane and Stevens counties—rising costs and federal cuts have forced the decision. The affected clinics at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chewelah, Spokane, and Spokane Valley will end operations on October 3 while inpatient services continue. KXLY
