- ➤ Two people died after an apparent murder-suicide in Clarkston, the Asotin County Sheriff's Office said—at the same time, a heat advisory is in effect from noon today to 8 p.m. Tuesday for areas including downtown Spokane. KHQ

- ➤ A heat advisory is in effect from noon today until 8 PM PDT Tuesday for parts of Spokane and nearby areas—temperatures are expected to reach 92 to 103°F, and residents are urged to drink fluids and stay indoors where possible. KHQ
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Architectural historian Robert Hyslop explained that 311 W. Riverside Ave. was built to fill an alley between the 1909 Robertson Building and the 1910 Fairmont Hotel, and it once housed a barber shop, dry cleaners, and a small restaurant.
