SPD arrested Troy A. Silk—45—for three counts of 2nd Degree Arson after detectives secured video evidence linking him to intentional fires that damaged properties on West Main, West Riverside and West Spokane Falls Boulevard, and he was already held at the county jail for other charges.

Logan P. Ortiz, 30, pleaded guilty last month to charges including first-degree burglary and multiple assaults for chasing and choking his ex-girlfriend in June 2024 in Spokane Valley—he was sentenced on Friday to over seven years in prison with 18 months of community custody to follow.

On August 22nd, 2025 at 1:54 p.m. a robbery occurred at a business on 1000 W Summit Parkway when a suspect threatened an employee with a firearm before fleeing, and police detained him moments later at Cedar and Broadway—recovering the stolen items.
