- ➤ FBI data shows that violent crime increased in Washington state even though the nation saw a drop, causing concern among residents. A heat advisory remains in effect until 9 PM PDT Wednesday, and residents are advised to drink fluids and avoid outdoor activities as temperatures rise to 90 to 99 degrees below 3500 feet and 80 to 89 above. - ➤ The warehouses along the Spokane River north bank between Washington and Division streets once lined tracks of the Spokane International Railway, which linked local industry to Canadian railroads.
