- ➤ Spokane’s Boulevard Race finished Sunday with about 3,500 runners, walkers, and wheelers completing a 4-mile course along the Spokane Falls Boulevard route—sponsors offered treats and cheer zones to boost morale. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ After a car struck a barrier on the westbound I-90 off-ramp to southbound US-195 on Sunday, crews completed emergency bridge repairs by 6 p.m.—yet additional work on the I-90 to US-195 ramp has kept two right lanes closed between Maple Street and the interchange, causing delays. KXLY

- ➤ Jessica Anundson, a parent in Spokane Public Schools, announced her run against board member Hilary Kozel for a two-year seat on the board, saying her firsthand experience with a first-grader gives her a clear view of student needs. - ➤ On Saturday, Spokane Transit Authority offered its first official double-decker bus ride at Cheney’s Eagle Station where more than 50 community members joined a noon ribbon-cutting ceremony. Eastern Washington University officials and local leaders cut the ribbon and said the new bus will run during busy school days to offer a unique transit option. The Spokesman-Review
- ➤ Starting today, Spokane drivers face delays on North Ash Street as construction causes lane reductions from three lanes to one between West Indiana Avenue and West Maxwell Avenue due to stalled work on bike and pedestrian safety upgrades; these slowdowns are expected until September 24th. Crews will also resume work on a new water transmission main along Francis Avenue, leading to additional lane closures and congestion on nearby roads until October 2nd. KXLY
