- ➤ Gonzaga alum Njal Lundberg is reinventing birthday parties in Spokane with Modern Dreamers—luxury sleepover kits that make celebrations fun and stress-free. The kits come in over 25 themes and are sold online with plans to offer a GU-themed kit at the Zag Shop soon. Gonzaga University

- ➤ Spokane Community College’s Inchelium campus hosted a fry bread event during Native American Heritage Month that brought together students, faculty and staff on the Colville Reservation—teaching them about traditional medicine and Indigenous culture. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ NEW Health in Chewelah received $2 million in funding from a government spending bill passed on November 12 to expand clinical and nonclinical job opportunities and improve health access in rural northeastern Washington. The funds will boost workforce development programs — reaching residents in Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties. The Spokesman-Review
