  • Spokane’s Christmas Tree Elegance kicked off Tuesday, showcasing 16 professionally decorated trees between the Historic Davenport Hotel and River Park Square to raise funds for the Spokane Symphony Associates.   • Gonzaga University and Knife River have joined forces as Knife River invests $120,000 in the university’s Structural High Bay Laboratory—this move brings Gonzaga closer to reaching a $115,000 goal for its new Material Testing System. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife launched the MyWDFW app on Wednesday via the Google Play and Apple App Stores, letting hunters and anglers display digital licenses and submit harvest reports (2026 licenses will be available while paper 2025 licenses remain in use until April 1).  The Spokesman-Review

  • The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife warned backyard flock owners of a state spike in avian influenza today and advised reducing free-range opportunities. REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Construction crews reached a milestone on Wednesday when they installed the final steel beam on Spokane Falls Tower. The 12-story condominium building — which will offer 360-degree views and 48 units for sale — will soon begin interior work as construction continues.  KXLY
