- ➤ Downtown Spokane hosts its first-ever Holiday Village at Riverfront Park, presented by Gesa Credit Union. The free four-day event runs from today to Sunday and features artisan markets, live performances, crafts plus hot cocoa under a heated glass-top tent. City of Spokane

- ➤ Volunteers prepared at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center for today's Christmas Bureau opening at 10 a.m., where families can receive grocery vouchers plus a book and toy for each child while enjoying live music, and the Bureau will run daily through Dec. 18, except Sunday, Dec. 14. - ➤ Alexis Sandoval, a Gonzaga student, authored the original poem “A Zag Holiday” for the annual Christmas video after being encouraged by President Katia Passerini. The video, featuring campus traditions and festive tunes, highlights Gonzaga’s cheerful holiday spirit. Gonzaga University

- ➤ Washington leaders were warned by Gov. Bob Ferguson's Data Center Workgroup that rising data center energy demand is straining clean power supplies and could challenge decarbonization and affordable power.
