Friday Night Movie: Red River

About this event

Tom Dunson, a recently successful cattle baron, must drive a 10,00 head of cattle to market in faraway Missouri. With his adopted son Matt and a team of cattle hands, Dunson leads his team on a grueling trek across the American South. Dunson is a cruel leader and drives the cowboys and Matt to the point of mutiny in this classic Western drama. Matt Bolton, director of film studies at GU, dives into fun tidbits and reflections to bring deeper insights and appreciation to your cinematic experience.
