About this event

Visible Mending III

Learn the blanket stitch, easy to embroider, versatile, and great for Visible Mending!

Learn how to give your favorite clothing and textiles a second life through the art of visible mending. Hand mender Silke Kluth returns to lead you on an exploration of amazing ways to use the blanket stitch, easy to embroider, versatile, and great for reinforcing fabric, offers creative mending options for non-stretch fabrics. It attaches patches from the front and back, adding beautiful design.

In this class, you can either try different versions of the blanket stitch on a sampler to get more familiar with it. Alternatively, you can bring a garment that needs mending or is wearing thin in certain areas, such as a cotton or flannel shirt or a pair of jeans.

All the other materials needed will be provided.
